“I really have the same problem with my Robert. Only
his will, stating he is the grandfather of Stephen I, makes
it clear that he is the father of Ephraim II. And only his
presence in Bedford from the death of Ephraim I
onward links him to that man. I have just gotten a lot
of information from the Woolsey family that undoes
my "certain" dates of Robert's daughter Elizabeth
Knowlton Woolsey. She was born in 1749, not 1728.
This means Robert did not have to be be born by
1710 and leaves his parentage less certain.”
