Notes for Sir Adam FORRESTER Of Corstorphine
an opulent merchant in Edinburgh, who, in 1363, is styled "Adam Forrester, mercator de Scotia". He was Lord Provost of that city, 1373-1378, and in 1387, was taken prisoner at the battle of Homildon Hill on the 14th of September 1402, but was speedily ransomed, and about the same time, obtained the honor of knighthood. He died at an advanced age, on the 13th of October, 1405.
